Living with the Seasons
Fri 13 Nov

Modern life allows us to live the same way all through the calendar year but is this the best way to live from a health and wellbeing perspective? What were the traditions and rituals that the women in your family carried out every year which bring back memories? how about the new ones you notice?

About the Event
Each circle will start with an infusion, and a check-in reflecting our seasonal work-load such as planning holidays in summer, carrying the pressures of Christmas, and the return to school. If a woman has seasonal adjustment difficulties these can be shared too.
Conversation will be guided by the seasonal topic but if discussions take us this direction we can reflect on women-specific themes which run across all four seasons
Inner seasons: the monthly cycle, perimenopause and menopause, and life stages as seasons with the idea that every stage has its own strengths
What was handed down: kitchen-table remedies, sayings and what the women in our families knew without being taught
Body wisdom: trusting gut feelings and noticing when the body says no
The double load: the invisible work women carry, and what real rest looks like for us.
